č Č
How to type č
C with caron (háček) — used in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Czech, Slovak.
Type it on our keyboard
Open the field already filled with č — type or click more, then copy. No install, works offline:
Codes
| Reference | č | Č |
|---|---|---|
| Unicode | U+010D | U+010C |
| HTML entity | č | Č |
| CSS escape | \010D | \010C |
| macOS — Unicode Hex Input | ⌥ 010D | ⌥ 010C |
| Windows — Word | 010D Alt + X | 010C Alt + X |
macOS hex input needs the “Unicode Hex Input” source enabled (System Settings → Keyboard). The Windows Alt + X trick works in Word and Outlook; elsewhere use the panel below.
On a Mac
- Press and hold the c key — an accent menu pops up; pick č.
- Character Viewer: ⌃⌘Space, search “c with caron (háček)”, double-click it.
On Windows
- Emoji & symbols: Win + ., switch to symbols, find č.
- Character Map (search it in the Start menu) → find č → Copy.
With PolyType installed
If you run the PolyType app or browser extension, type the base letter then the diacritic — no layout switch (the directive accents the letter immediately before it):
c;caron␣
The instant cycle ;;c also works (repeat to cycle variants).
This inline syntax needs PolyType running; without it, use a method above.
